1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Rays Atlas website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Rays Atlas provides TV signal coverage information, maps, and antenna recommendations for locations within the United States. The Service is provided for informational purposes only.

3. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Signal coverage predictions are estimates based on terrain modeling and FCC data. Actual reception may vary significantly due to:

• Building materials, trees, and local obstructions
• Antenna type, quality, and installation
• Weather and atmospheric conditions
• Interference from other devices or signals
• Changes to broadcast tower operations

We do not guarantee that you will receive any particular TV signal at your location.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rays Atlas and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to bulk download data, maps, or tiles
• Redistribute, resell, or republish our signal coverage data or heatmaps
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our signal calculation algorithms
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6. Intellectual Property

Proprietary Data: The signal coverage calculations, heatmaps, propagation models, and per-location analysis provided by this Service are proprietary. While we use publicly available FCC tower data and terrain information as inputs, the computed signal predictions and visualizations are our intellectual property.

Permitted Use: You may view and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share links to our pages. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our maps, tiles, or data in bulk without written permission.

7. Data Sources

Our Service incorporates data from:

• FCC TV Query Database (public domain)
• NASA SRTM Terrain Data (public domain)
• US Census Bureau Geographic Data (public domain)

These source datasets remain in the public domain. Our computed derivatives and visualizations are proprietary.

8. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update coverage data, add or remove features, and change coverage areas.

9. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
